Introduction

This section explains in layman terms our technology and process. If you would like to discuss it more, or have any ideas and questions, please drop us a line. Really! We would love to hear from you even if it does not relate directly to what we do.

Please note that this technology is at the heart of our competitive advantage, so we can't share all that's under the hood!

Vertical Integration

Our technology is made up of three pieces (more below) and together, they make us vertically-integrated. What that means, is that we have our own combination of tools and technology (mostly programs and code) that make us (almost) self-reliant. It also has the added benefit of making us extremely efficient.

Many companies in the learning space use off-the-shelf tools. Now that might be good solution for a short-term product, or for quick and easy money, but it's always lacking somewhere: either you can't work it on mobile devices (say you use Adobe Flash or Java), or you are missing interactivity (say a page with HTML5, a movie, or a PDF document) or you can't add or update or alter your content easily.

Element #1: ZeGenie Engine

This is the heart of our technology. We have designed and coded a smart engine that allows us to display content almost anywhere. The engine is compiled into Adobe Flash (SWF), native iOS (iPad / iPhone / iPod) application and native Android application. The engine was designed with content developers in mind, to help them focus on development.

Element #2: Server

That's right! Everything is the cloud! The content sits on our (or your) server and gets streamed live. We use some of the most reliable and secure hosting services available online today. This approach has many benefits:

1. Makes the app size quite small
2. Allows content to be added
3. Allows content to be updated
4. Protects the content from being stolen
5. Allows user learner to be monitored and reported on

Element #3: Tools

The final piece in our puzzle is custom developed tools. Without spoiling the surprise, these tools make use very efficient (we can do in one day, what others do in one week, really! Here are the benchmarks we used Link 1,Link 2). And not only that, but our content is mobile-ready right away! Now that's ingenuity!
